Pam Sutton

Pamela attended Cortland College out of high school as a biology major.  She has since advanced her education with additional courses in health sciences and Nursing.  She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa. Pamela worked in smaller specialty offices including ENT prior to joining Hematology Oncology Associates in April of 2007.  She worked for a short time with medical oncology, but spent 11 years in the Radiation/CT department.  She has experience in patient care, imaging, schedule management and process improvement.  In June of 2018, Pamela joined Breast Care Partners as our Administrative Patient Navigator.  Her multi faceted position includes coverage and liaison to the Breast Navigators and surgical offices, community outreach, event coordination and maintenance of oncology tracking software and NAPBC accreditation records.

Pamela writes: Oncology has been a unique experience and huge factor in shaping my career path. I was fairly new to oncology when my father was diagnosed with cancer and became a patient.  Being able to experience the difference we make from the other side of the spectrum really solidified for me I had made the right choice.  I feel blessed to be given a chance to assist patients and families during this very private and sometimes challenging time in their lives.

In March of 2019, Pamela earned her CN-BA (Certified Navigator - Breast Advocate) through the National Consortium of Breast Centers.
